The most comfortable way to arrive is by rental car from the airport or any other point on the island. The FV-2 road heading south is the main reference, and from Gran Tarajal, you take the FV-512 to the village (Google Maps will take you there perfectly). The trip from the airport takes about 45-50 minutes without traffic.
There is also a bus line connecting Las Playitas with Gran Tarajal, although the frequency is limited. If you arrive without a car, it is better to hire a taxi or coordinate your schedules well. To move around within Las Playitas and its surroundings, a car is practically essential.

There is free parking both at the entrance to the village and near the resort.
A detail we love about black sand beaches in winter: the sand retains the sun’s heat and is always warm, which makes the beach experience in the colder months much more pleasant than on white sand beaches. A benefit that few people mention.
Is it good for snorkeling?
Yes, although it is not one of the best on the island for this activity. The seabeds at the ends of the bay have a bit more marine life and you can see some fish, but if snorkeling is your priority in Fuerteventura, we recommend the Ajuy Caves (if the sea is calm, be careful) or the northern beaches. Las Playitas is more for relaxing than for exploring underwater.
