The easiest way to reach Sopot from Gdynia is by train; we went on a day trip perfectly. The Sopot train station is located near the city center, so in just a few steps, you will find the main pedestrian street, which ends at the Sopot pier.
Must-see spots in Sopot
The famous Sopot Beach (Plaża Sopot) / Sopot Resort
One of the first answers to the question things to do in Sopot is its famous Sopot beach “Plaża Sopot”, an extensive sandy beach. This coastal strip stretches on both sides of the pier and offers a relaxed atmosphere during the day, with beachfront bars, sun loungers, water sports, and sunset walks.
Although the Baltic water is not as warm as in the Mediterranean, the experience is special: fresh air, wide sea. For us, it was ideal for a day of relaxation, an ice cream by the sea, and a slow walk at sunset. We went in August and the temperature was very pleasant.
And to end the visit, we relaxed on its sandy beach ⛱ and were even able to get in the water 💧! First Baltic dip!
