We traveled very comfortably by train from Montreal, on a pleasant ride with beautiful Canadian winter landscapes, which lasts approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes with the company VIA Rail Canada.

Petit-Champlain Street (Rue du Petit-Champlain, the staircase street, near Place Royale, is a beautiful pedestrian street in this winter paradise and was chosen as the favorite space for Canadians in 2014 by Great Places in Canada. Later, in Place Royale, there is a beautiful Christmas tree (in front of the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church).

Trees, lights, and markets of Place Royale

A historic square that seems stopped in time: stone houses, illuminated windows, soft music… and a huge Christmas tree that dominates the whole scene.
