How to get to and around Corralejo – Fuerteventura<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Fuerteventura airport is about 40-45 minutes by car from Corralejo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From the airport to get to Corralejo, you can rent a car, take shuttles, a taxi, or a public bus (guagua)<\/strong>. Although there is transport, the best option is to rent a car: distances are short, but many beaches or viewpoints are on dirt roads.<\/p>\n

To arrive by bus, you must first take Bus Number 3 from the Airport to Puerto del Rosario (the capital’s bus terminal). Then, take bus (guagua) Number 6 from Puerto del Rosario to Corralejo.<\/p>\n

Important:<\/strong> Buses are paid in cash to the driver (you must pay with change or preferably no more than 20 euros). Keep in mind that although you can get there for an affordable price, if you want to get around later, it is highly recommended to rent a car, as bus schedules are not very frequent and they do not reach the most beautiful beaches.<\/p>\n

As we live here, our recommendation is to book a car in advance, especially in high season, and ask about the insurance since it often does not cover unpaved roads. Driving in Fuerteventura is simple; the roads are in good condition and there is little traffic. The old town of Corralejo is a charming walk. Its narrow streets, paths, sea-facing bars, and small white houses preserve the spirit of the old fishing village.
