Many people arrive thinking it is \u00abless beautiful\u00bb than Krakow, but for us, it was a revelation. <strong>It is modern, cultural, diverse, and with a history that challenges you at every step; we liked it a lot.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"-stare-miasto-y-el-castillo-real-\"><strong>Stare Miasto and the Royal Castle<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After being almost completely destroyed in World War II, the Old Town was rebuilt with incredible precision. Walking its streets is understanding Polish resilience. The Market Square, the Royal Castle, and the pastel colors of the houses create a magical postcard, especially at sunset.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"-museo-del-levantamiento-de-varsovia-\"><strong>Warsaw Uprising Museum<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Must-see to understand the war from a local perspective. It is interactive, intense, and very well curated. We left feeling both moved and reflective.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"-parques-y-barrios-bohemios-\"><strong>Parks and bohemian neighborhoods<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u0141azienki Park:<\/strong> one of the most beautiful in the country. Deer, peacocks, lakes, and the Palace on the Isle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Praga:<\/strong> artistic and bohemian neighborhood, ideal for seeing murals, alternative bars, and vintage markets.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Polin Museum:<\/strong> to understand the history of the Jewish community in Poland.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.recalculandoviajes.com\/que-ver-en-varsovia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warsaw<\/a> has a different energy. Its medieval center is one of the best-preserved in Europe, full of churches, towers, and huge squares.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"-plaza-del-mercado-bas-lica-de-santa-mar-a-y-colina-wawel-\"><strong>Market Square, St. Mary&#8217;s Basilica, and Wawel Hill<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Market Square is the heart of the city. From there, St. Mary&#8217;s Basilica imposes itself with its uneven towers, and every hour the famous <em>Hejna\u0142<\/em> (traditional trumpet call) sounds.<\/p>\n<p>We loved climbing Wawel Castle: panoramic view of the Vistula River, inner courtyards, art, and legends about dragons.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"-kazimierz-barrio-jud-o-y-arte-urbano-\"><strong>Kazimierz: Jewish Quarter and urban art<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Kazimierz feels hipster, creative, and full of life. Coffee shops, street art, flea markets, and traditional restaurants like those serving <em>zapiekanka<\/em>, a kind of Polish pizza that we loved.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"-vida-nocturna-y-caf-s-\"><strong>Nightlife and cafes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Krakow is full of underground medieval bars, craft breweries, and cafes with an intellectual vibe. A few minutes away is Ostrow Tumski, the oldest part of the city, full of churches and street lamps that are lit by hand every night (yes, they still do it).<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"-los-famosos-gnomos-\"><strong>The famous gnomes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The city has more than <strong>600 gnomes<\/strong> (Krasnale), small sculptures hidden everywhere.
